Hunger, Helplessness, Poverty and Earthquake devastation!
These words are a reality for millions of Haitians every single second of their lives. Over a year has passed since the devastating earthquake hit the nation's capital, and still more than a million Haitians continue to live in impoverished huts and makeshift campsites. The issues of hunger and poverty have continued to grow at a fevered pitch. In the face of such adversity, it is easy to wonder what can one person do to help a nation?
“How can one person help a nation?”
The enormity of this crisis may be daunting, but a group of individuals working together can and will make a difference. The What's Mine Is Yours organization has been working since 2007 to provide for Haiti's indigent people. Each year we organize and deploy a humanitarian relief effort equipped with food, medical and school supplies to help meet Haiti's needs. Our mission is to pull together the resources of our local communities and respond to the current needs of the Haitian people. We believe that by working together we can provide a helping hand and lighten this load. |
